Hamari Pathshala

Hamari Pathshala is a programme to equip marginalized children of rural India with 21st century skills.

This emerging project is a grassroots initiative aimed at providing quality education for children in rural India, specifically in the states of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. While the immediate focus is on children of migrant workers who have returned to their villages and are out of the school system, the project also welcomes all children who wish to join. Thus, school drop-outs, especially girls would stand to benefit.

Aimed at children of the age-group 6 – 15, this is a non-formal, holistic educational initiative focussed on literacy, numeracy, English language proficiency, identity-building and skill-building.

Our desirable goals for learners include:

  • Achieve age-appropriate learning outcomes
  • Develop English Language proficiency
  • Develop socio-emotional capacity
  • Strengthen community connect
  • Encourage innovation
